Assoc. Dr. Orkun Koban was born in Bursa in 1981, is married and has two children. He completed his high school education in Bursa. He completed his high school education at Bilfen Private Üsküdar Science High School in 1997.

He won the I.U. He graduated from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2005. Between 2005 and 2012, he was the clinic chief, Op. Dr. He completed his Brain and Spine Surgery training at Istanbul Haseki Training and Research Hospital, taught by Turgay Bilge, and received the title of operator doctor. Simultaneously between 2010-2012, Prof. Dr. He worked as a research assistant at Marmara University Neurological Sciences Institute, Department of Brain and Spine Surgery, under the direction of Türker Kılıç, and took part in many scientific studies.

He completed his compulsory duty at Sultanbeyli State Hospital between 2013-2014. He worked at Bahçeşehir University Göztepe Medical Park Hospital Complex Neurosurgery Clinic (BAU NRŞ) during 2014-2015.

Prof. Dr. Sedat Dalbayrak and Op. Dr. He joined NeuroSpinalAkademi (NSA), founded by Mesut Yılmaz, in 2015 and still continues.

Between 2018-2022 Prof. Dr. He continued to increase his surgical experience, patient treatments and academic studies at Okan University Hospital, Department of Brain and Spine Surgery, under the management of Sedat Dalbayrak. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2021. He left his job at Lokman Hekim Hospital, where he worked between 2022-2024, and continues to serve his patients in his private practice located in Bağdat Caddesi Çiftehavuzlar.
